Aransas County is dedicated to the development and implementation of the concept of recycling all commodities that have market to sustain them.  Aransas County will endeavor to search for and promote recycling that is beneficial to both the County and its citizens.

The Aransas County Recycle/Transfer Station is operated under regulations governing the collection and disposal of solid waste and the Solid Waste Disposal Act.

AUTHORIZED WASTE

The following items are accepted for recycling: oil, oil filters, anti-freeze, paints, plastic, tin,  batteries, aluminum, and metal.  The following waste items are authorized items: Household garbage, rubbish, roofing, tires, construction material and brush.

UNAUTHORIZED WASTE

The following items CANNOT BE ACCEPTED at the Transfer Station: Sewage, hazardous waste, industrial waste, infectious (medical) waste, dead animals, radioactive waste, gasoline, sludge, asbestos, herbicides, pesticides, special waste, poisons, and burned or ignitable waste.
