Aransas County Sheriff’s Department is seeking to fill the following positions--Corrections Officers/Jailers. Must have a H. S. diploma or equivalent; T.C.L.E.O.S.E. certified, good driving record, complete and thorough background check will be done. Aransas County is seeking a road construction worker for the Road and Bridge Department in a variety of heavy equipment uses and labor tasks related to road repair and maintenance. Must have a H.S. diploma or GED, and clean driving record. Employee will be required to achieve CDL. ARANSAS COUNTY DETENTION CENTER is accepting applications for a Certified Medications Aide to work at the Aransas County Jail. Pays $11.44 per hour. Must have H.S. Aransas County is seeking a Sanitarian. Duties include, but are not limited to: the inspection of food establishments, sewage systems, performing investigations of public health nuisances and disease and report findings to include recommendations for corrective actions. Experience preferred. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited 4-year university with at least 30 hours in basic or natural science or combination thereof; ability to operate personal or county-owned vehicles in the performance of duties; and ability to work flexible hours.
