Aransas County Mosquito Control has begun its abatement efforts and will continue in the weeks to come. Mosquito larvacide (dunks) are available for pick up at Aransas County Environmental Health M-F 8am-12 and 1-5pm.<\/p>\n

Prevention:
\n\u2022 Wear EPA registered insect repellents. When used as directed, these insect repellents \u2014 including those that contain DEET \u2014 are proven safe and effective even for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
\n\u2022 Cover up with long-sleeved shirts and long pants.
\n\u2022 Keep mosquitoes out with air conditioning or intact window screens.
\n\u2022 Limit outdoor activities during peak mosquito times (dusk and dawn).
