<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEREAS<\/strong>, Greg Abbott, Governor of the State of Texas,\ncertified on the 12th day of February 2021 \u201cthat severe winter weather poses\nan imminent threat of widespread and severe property damage, injury, and loss\nof life due to prolonged freezing temperatures, heavy snow, and freezing rain\nstatewide\u201d and declared a state of disaster in all 254 counties based on the\nexistence of such threat; and <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEREAS<\/strong>, the County of ARANSAS on the 12th day of\nFebruary 2021 through the 15th day of February 2021 experienced a threat of imminent\nwidespread and severe property damage, injury, and loss of life due to\nprolonged freezing temperatures; and <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEREAS<\/strong>, the County of ARANSAS on the 12th day of\nFebruary 2021 has suffered and will suffer a threat of imminent widespread and\nsevere property damage, injury, and loss of life due to prolonged freezing\ntemperatures, possible heavy snow, possible freezing rain; and <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEREAS<\/strong>, the County Judge of ARANSAS County has determined\nthat extraordinary measures must be taken to alleviate the suffering of people\nand to protect or rehabilitate property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT\nPROCLAIMED BY THE COUNTY JUDGE OF ARANSAS COUNTY: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. That a local state of\ndisaster is hereby declared for ARANSAS County pursuant to \u00a7 418.108 (a) of the\nTexas Government Code. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Pursuant to \u00a7 418.108 (b) of\nthe Government Code, the state of disaster shall continue for a period of not\nmore than seven days from the date of this declaration unless continued, or\nrenewed, by the Commissioners Court of ARANSAS County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Pursuant to \u00a7 418.108 (c) of\nthe Government Code, this declaration of a local state of disaster shall be\ngiven prompt and general publicity and shall be filed promptly with the County\nClerk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Pursuant to \u00a7 418.108 (d) of\nthe Government Code, this declaration of a local state of disaster activates\nthe County Emergency Management Plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. This Declaration of County\nJudge C.H. “Burt” Mills, Jr., hereby incorporates for all purposes\nthe Declaration of Greg Abbott, Governor of the State of Texas, wherein he\ncertified that on the 12th day of February 2021 \u201csevere winter weather poses an\nimminent threat of widespread and severe property damage, injury, and loss of\nlife due to prolonged freezing temperatures, heavy snow, and freezing rain\nstatewide\u201d and declared a state of disaster in all 254 counties, inclusive of ARANSAS\nCounty, based on the existence of such threat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. That this proclamation shall\ntake effect immediately from and after its issuance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED ON THIS THE 17TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
