August 19, 2022- COVID-19 UPDATE FOR ARANSAS COUNTY, TEXAS<\/p>\n

Our community risk level is currently HIGH.<\/p>\n

According to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reporting system as of Friday August 19, 2022, Aransas County has experienced a total of 3817 COVID-19 confirmed cases since the beginning of the recording process, 1164 probable cases and 91 fatalities.<\/p>\n

Vaccines are available for ages 6 months and up at all pharmacies in Rockport and at Allegiance EMS, 400 Enterprise Blvd #B, Rockport, TX, every Monday from 10am \u2013 2pm. Vaccine booster shots are available for ages 5 and up.<\/p>\n

Recommended actions based on current risk level:<\/p>\n

\u2022\tStay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines.
\n\u2022\tGet tested if you have symptoms.
\n\u2022\tWear a mask if you have symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19. You may choose to wear a mask at any time as an additional precaution to protect yourself and others. <\/p>\n

You may be eligible to receive at home COVID-19 test kits free of charge. Visit www.covidtests.gov for more information.<\/p>\n
