FREE Flood Insurance Workshop

FREE Flood Insurance Workshop

To help you better understand post-disaster insurance issues, where the changes are occurring on new flood maps in some of the impacted areas, and how your knowledge of both of these topics can benefit your clients, FEMA has partnered with local communities, Texas Department of Insurance, and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service to hold a series of Flood Insurance Workshops in multiple counties across Texas.  CFMs will receive CECs for attending both the morning and afternoon workshops.  Insurance CECs will be provided for attending the afternoon session on map changes.

Aransas Pass has been part of flood map update. Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps will be released March 16, 2018. We invite you to attend an all day workshop on these two important topics, Post-Disaster Insurance Issues (morning) and Insurance Impact with Mapping Updates (afternoon) on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Agents attending afternoon sessions on map changes will receive 2 CECs for their participation. CFMs will also receive CECs for their participation.

There is no charge for these workshops and we encourage you to share information about these events with fellow insurance agents and other stakeholders including real estate professionals, lenders, surveyors, and builders.  Space is limited based on the venue, so mark your calendar and click the EventBrite link below to register your attendance and reserve your seat. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. to allow us time to seat our guests.
