The long term recovery team is working to identify and create workforce housing stock to help replace housing units lost due to Hurricane Harvey. The plan consists of three phases temporary units (1 year – 18 months), midterm (18 months – 3 years), and long term (3+ years). The team is currently working on the temporary housing phase, but beginning strategic plans to facilitate development and investments to construct mid and long term housing.
December 15, 2017 – Rebuilding Rockport-Fulton Workshops concluded with a Wrap Up Session discussing Housing strategies. Sean Garretson of Pegasus Planning & Development worked with attendees to draft a Housing Recovery Plan which is revealed in the link below. In January, the plan will be up for revision before it is submitted for approval.
