The Environmental Health Department is responsible for several community health programs that affect various aspects of the Aransas County community. The Department performs services that include;
Food Service inspections, permitting, and education programs in food safety
Code Enforcement Program in the unincorporated areas of Aransas County
Aransas County Mosquito Control Program
Aransas County Transfer Station
And operates as the Designated Representative regarding On-Site Sewage Facilities (OSSF) permitting, inspections and complaints.
It is through each of these programs that the Environmental Health Department promotes a healthy community while providing proper stewardship of public resources.
